Milford Golf Invitational
Freshmen Medal
Freshmen received medals at the Milford Golf Invitational held on April 9. At the Thornridge Golf Course freshmen Jesse Nissen, Tavis Koehn and Spencer Friesen were able to bring home one varsity medal and two junior varsity medals. For the varsity Jesse Nissen received his second place medal with a score of 78. He shot a 40 on the front nine and came back with a 38. Tavis Koehn earned a fourth place medal with his score of 91 while his J.V. teammate Spencer Friesen came in eighth with a 100. Other varsity members worked together for the team score of 365. Cory Gabehart shot an 86. He started out with a front nine of 44 and came back with a 42. Lance Hiebner came in with a 100 with front nine of 47 and back of 53. Nick Heinrichs shot a 52 on the front nine and dropped it to a 49 on the back for a total of 101. Alex Block started out with a 55 on the front nine and dropped it to 52 on the back for a score of 107. Team placed sixth out of ten. The Sutton Invitational will be held on April 28.
