HEARTLAND FBLA MEMBERS WIN AWARDS
Twelve members of the Heartland FBLA chapter won awards during three business contests attended in the month of February. On February 7, the students competed in the SCC-Beatrice Business Competition. The results are as follows: Lauren Braun: 2nd place in Office Systems and Procedures, 5th place in Entrepreneurship and 6th place in Business Law; Brianna Rader: 2nd place in Accounting II and 8th place in Entrepreneurship; Lauren Klute: 4th place in Business Law and 9th place in Economics; Clint Kroeker: 4th place in Accounting II and 8th place in Proofreading and Spelling; Kim Goossen: 4th place in Word Processing; Crista Buller: 5th place in Accounting I and 10th place in Introduction to Business; Michelle Barr: 8th place in Accounting II; Jennifer Goossen: 10th place in Word Processing.
On February 12, the students competed in the Phi Beta Lambda UNK Business Competition. The following students won awards: Lauren Klute: 1st place in Economics and 5th place in Business English; Lauren Braun: 1st place in Marketing and 5th place in Business Systems and Procedures; Brianna Rader: 1st place in Accounting II; Jennifer Goossen: 1st place in Keyboarding II Production; Tori Bittinger: 1st place in Introduction to Business, 1st place in Keyboarding I Speed, 4th place in Keyboarding I Production and 6th place in Keyboarding I Knowledge; Laini Aiken: 2nd place in Keyboarding II Production; Kim Goossen: 2nd place in Keyboarding I Production, 3rd place in Keyboarding I Knowledge, 4th place in Keyboarding I Speed and 6th place in Introduction to Business; Clint Kroeker: 2nd place in Accounting II; Michelle Barr: 3rd place in Marketing; Tiffanie Squire: 4th place in Business Law; Crista Buller: 5th place in Accounting I.
Finally, on February 20, the students competed in the Peru State College Business Contest. The results are as follows: Lauren Klute: 1st place in Business Law, 2nd place in Economics and 2nd place in Personal Finance; Lauren Braun: 1st place in Marketing, 2nd place in Business Law and 4th place in Personal Finance; Brianna Rader: 1st place in Advanced Accounting and 2nd place in Business Math; Clint Kroeker: 3rd place in Advanced Accounting; Tyler Kliewer: 5th place in Introduction to Business; Tori Bittinger: 5th place in Keyboarding I Skills.
