Miranda Janzen, 1st Place; Brielle van den Berg, 2nd Place; Allison Braun, 3rd Place

National Geography Bee

Heartland students competed in the annual National Geography Bee on January 17.  Miranda Janzen, an eighth grade student, won the Bee and will take the test to qualify for the state competition.  Another eighth grade student, Brielle van den Berg, placed second and sixth grader, Allison Braun came in third place.

Other students competing in the Geography Bee were 

    8th Grade - Brenen Erb

    7th Grade - Brent Regier, Daniel Quiring, Ashton Kroeker, Ashley Quiring

    6th Grade - Jonathan Larson, Quintin Selzer, Leah Friesen

    5th Grade - Colton Siebert, Cole Goertzen, Gina Grady, Kaitlyn Quiring
