I'm Stuck On You!
By Cindy Goff
Second Grade students recently finished their studies of amphibians. They learned that frogs and toads have long, sticky tongues to help them catch their food. Students practiced this technique using party blowers and velcro.
They attempted to catch paper insects in a tree, on the ground and moving in the air. Working with a partner students collected data. The number of insects caught was then displayed in a tally graph.
